By purchasing or using any stillward labs software product, including Retirement Risk Lab, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
Upon purchase, stillward labs grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on your own devices for personal, non-commercial use. You may not sublicense, sell, rent, lease, or distribute the software or your license to any third party.
You are purchasing a perpetual license to use the version of the software available at the time of purchase, plus any updates released during any stated update window. stillward labs products are one-time purchases — there are no recurring subscription charges.
The software is provided for personal financial planning and educational purposes. Outputs produced by the software — including survival probabilities, confidence intervals, and projected balances — are statistical estimates under stated assumptions. They are not financial advice, investment advice, or a guarantee of any future outcome. You are solely responsible for any financial decisions you make.
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the software. You may not use the software to provide commercial financial advisory services without explicit written permission from stillward labs.
stillward labs products are designed to operate offline. No simulation data, personal financial information, or usage data is transmitted to stillward labs or any third party. License verification is performed locally using an embedded cryptographic key. No account is required. No telemetry is collected.
The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. stillward labs does not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, stillward labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the software or reliance on its outputs, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
stillward labs may release updates to its software at its discretion. There is no obligation to provide updates, new features, or continued support for any particular version. The software will continue to function as licensed regardless of whether updates are released.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
stillward labs may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the software after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your purchase date. No explanation required.
Email support@stillwardlabs.com with your order number and the word "refund" in the subject line. Refunds are processed within 5 business days and returned to your original payment method.
Refund requests submitted more than 7 days after purchase are considered on a case-by-case basis at stillward labs' discretion. We are a small operation and will do our best to be reasonable.
Upon issuing a refund, your license key will be revoked. The software will continue to function in evaluation mode (SOFT mode) after revocation.
